A fun independently run Highland Games, complete with Highland Dancing, Piping and Drumming solo events and of course a Pipe Band competition. Free admission, $5.00/car parking.

The Knockout competitions are a series of events whereby professional pipers and drummers compete and advance to the next round or get "knocked out". There are 3 rounds, usually about 16 to 20 pipers starting in the first round, half (of those who play)* advance to the second round (in the event of odd numbers, the number would be rounded up) and 4 to the final round. This event started as a means to draw the membership out to the AGM. Drumming KO schedules are dependent on the number of entries received.

The purpose of the Mini-Gatherings: To provide amateur players with regular opportunities to test the preparedness of their new competition tunes for the outdoor season.

Bring your family and friends for a charming Scottish day-adventure full of entertainment, feats of triumph, and fun activities. Enjoy the traditional features of Scottish Highland Games, such as massed bands, pipe band exhibitions, individual piping, heavy athletics, highland dancing, and children�s games, including �Shoot the English Knight�! Performances of Scottish country dancing and Celtic bands provide delight all day. Take old-fashioned pleasure in viewing the �hielan� coos� (highland cattle); sheepdog and blacksmith demonstrations; tug of war competitions; and reenactment exhibitions throughout the day. Visit each clan tent to discover whether you have Scottish ancestry and shop at the Scottish and Celtic merchant booths. Visit the British Car exhibit and see great examples of 1959,1961,1963 and 1967 Austin-Healey 3000s; 1950, 1965 and XJ6 Jaguars; 1970 and 1978 Austin Minis; 1953 MGTD; and 1969 and 1978 MGBs. This is a special treat for auto lovers. As in the past, we continue to keep the admission prices reasonable in keeping with our commitment to making the Spokane Highland Games a family event. In keeping with that goal, you�ll notice that this year the parking is Free!

Held annually on the Sunday of the Labour Day weekend, this event has become one of the signature summer events of Canmore. Our full Highland Games includes a highland dance competition, piping and drumming competition, heavy sports contest, sheep dog demonstrations, massed bands, clan tents, Celtic wares and traditional food and beverages.

Following the amateur events we will hold our first annual open solo side drumming contest (MSR). Scottish Piping Society of London monthly 'Pipers Club' at the Calthorpe Arms, Grays Inn Road, London WC1X 8JR, Saturday 16th November, doors open 1930 hours. Come along & bring your pipes! The venue is 5 minutes walk from London Kings Cross station and there is free on street parking outside.

The worlds top solo pipers compete for the Bratach Gorm and other prestigious awards. The KCEC is situated in in Hornton Street, London W8 7NX. Doors open 0830 hours.
