We're bringing back the SE Workshop! Full day Fri/Sat, half day Sunday; 10 workshop classes, top instructors-John Cairns, Jimmy McIntosh, Andrew Carlisle, John Fisher, Andrew Hoinacki, Roy Barbee, Tyler Fry, Lisa Frazier. Competition This event will be held the night before the Sarasota Highland Games and Celtic Festival. Friday night competition will be the MSR, H/J and a 3-6 minute tune selection of choice. For this event the judge will not see the piper. The event will conclude with the Piobaireachd and 6/8 on the games field. See website for location.

The Knockout competitions are a series of events whereby professional pipers and drummers compete and advance to the next round or get "knocked out". There are 3 rounds, usually about 16 to 20 pipers starting in the first round, half (of those who play)* advance to the second round (in the event of odd numbers, the number would be rounded up) and 4 to the final round. This event started as a means to draw the membership out to the AGM. Drumming KO schedules are dependent on the number of entries received.

The purpose of the Mini-Gatherings: To provide amateur players with regular opportunities to test the preparedness of their new competition tunes for the outdoor season.

Visit the British Car exhibit and see great examples of 1959,1961,1963 and 1967 Austin-Healey 3000s; 1950, 1965 and XJ6 Jaguars; 1970 and 1978 Austin Minis; 1953 MGTD; and 1969 and 1978 MGBs. This is a special treat for auto lovers. As in the past, we continue to keep the admission prices reasonable in keeping with our commitment to making the Spokane Highland Games a family event.
