We are delighted to announce the launch of Oktenorfest 2011. This year, we will have a full programme of truly world class bass, snare and tenor drumming classes hosted by members of the all-star Spirit of Scotland Pipe Band. Sessions will be hosted by: Craig Colquhoun (Bass Drumming) Tim Djursing (Tenor Drumming) John Fisher (Snare Drumming) Amanda Shirley (Tenor Drumming) Jamie Troy (Snare Drumming) Oktenorfest will take place on Saturday 29 October, 2011 at the Embassy Suites Schaumburg. Workshop registration includes all day instruction (8.30am to 4.30pm), continental breakfast, lunch and entry to the Oktenorfest ceilidh (7.00pm to 12.30am).

B In The Park
The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band present their 8th annual 'B In The Park' concert this year on Thursday, July 28 in Major's Hill Park behind the Chateau Laurier Hotel in downtown Ottawa. Joining the Sons at the show which begins at 6:30 pm are the Dartmouth and District Pipe Band, the Atlanta Pipe Band and the Heritage Hands Drum Club of Ottawa. Tickets are only $10 and are onsale at the show, there is a great refreshment tent with beer and whisky, snacks and water; bring a lawnchair and a friend, and come join us at a great show!
