Indoor, adjudicated performances for pipers, drummers and pipe bands. Competitors are adjudicated but no prizes are awarded. Try your tunes in a compettative situation or come down and enjoy the music.

The Mid-Winter Ceilidh is a full night of great entertainment, including a performance by the host band, The City of Regina Pipe Band, a fun competition to choose THE CHAMPION HIGHLANDER and this year we are proud to feature top Canadian talent and home-town heros West of Mabou!  Tickets for this show are not going to last. They are available now on the web site, or in early January in the ticket locations.

Come down to the pipers' club at 7:30 to play or enjoy some tunes. There are often a few performers then the floor is open to the audience.

Come have a casual tune, or just enjoy others playing. There are usually a couple of guess performances, and then the floor is yours!

To Celebrate our 25th Anniversary we have brought over two World Champions to adjudicate the event, Steven McWhirter and Callum Beaumont. They will be joining Bob Worrall and Ken Eller to make up our Afternoon Adjudication Panel for the band contest.

This year for the Winnipeg Scottish Festival we have 12 bands (In 4 Different Grades) and 120 Soloists (In every Grade) making this years festival the biggest ever.

There will be a recital on the Saturday Night featuring Steven McWhirter and Callum Beaumont, and Workshops Sunday Morning With Ken Eller, Bob Worrall, Callum Beaumont and Steven McWhirter.

The Prairie Piping Invitational features top professional pipers playing entertaining tunes in a free-for-all event that always provides a great night of piping. The 2018 adjudicator is Dr. Terry Lee, and we have some exciting contestants lined up, with a couple still to be named. Visit the website to see the complete lineup.

Pipers play an 8-minute medley of their own choice that must include the urlar of a piobaireachd and at least one tune composed by a Canadian. As well as being placed by the adjudicators, there is an audience ballot for a "majority wins" selection of "Audience Favourite."

As well as the usual cash bar service available, this year's event features a "pizza and beer" price for those who'd like dinner and a show! All tickets are available on the website.

The Saskatchewan Highland Gathering and Celtic Festival is a two-day event that features solo piping and drumming, pipe bands, Highland dancing, Scottish athletics and a full feast of Highland games fun. Pipe bands from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba converge to make one of the most interesting and diverse contests of the season. Adjudicators for 2018 include Dr. Terry Lee, John Fisher, Dave Hicks and Andrea Boyd.

In celebration of Canada’s National Tartan Day, April 6^th, a special evening of Scottish folk songs, pipes, drums and more is being presented at the Fergus Grand Theatre by local promoter WeeAlec Productions.

Featured performers include:

78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band - Pipe Major Doug MacRae brings a number of members from the band to help celebrate Tartan Day in Fergus.

Iona Fyfe - Nominated for Scots Singer of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards and finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2017, Iona has become one of Scotlands finest young singers.

NUA - Award winning Canadian Trad trio creating their own distinctive original compositions drawn from Scottish and Irish traditions.
