Fort William, Scotland – August 9, 2014 – Willie McCallum won all three of the solo piping events for those graded Premier of A by the Competing Pipers Association, including the Lochaber Gold Axe for Piobaireachd. The contest was held at the Nevis Centre.

Once blown for a few weeks new reeds tend to provide a more stable, crisper tone in a pipe corps than older reeds. Time the re-reeding of the pipe corps to ensure reeds are at their optimum come contest time.
