Andante Acquires Rights to Brown Products

Andante Percussion of Banbridge, Northern Ireland, has acquired the rights to manufacture the TG and Tom Brown brands of drumsticks, beaters, practice pads and drum carriers, Piper & Drummer Online has learned.

TG Drumming, based in Whitburn, West Lothian, Scotland, has been owned and operated by Tom and Gordon Brown, current and past leading drummers with the Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band and winners of the World Solo Drumming Championship.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Andante will reportedly work with TG Drumming on further research and development of future products.

TG Drumming and Tom Brown products will make their debut under the Andante corporate umbrella at Andante’s stand at the 2003 World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow on August 16.

At approximately the same time last year, Premier Percussion announced that it had acquired the rights to the Hosbilt brand of drums and supplies.
