BC Pipers Annual Gathering Goes to Gandy

Burnaby, British Columbia – April 18-19, 2003 – The 71st annual British Columbia Pipers Association Annual Gathering was held at Simon Fraser University with 231 solo competitors and 21 bands participating.

Eighteen pipers competed in the professional solo contests, and Bruce Gandy of Halifax, Nova Scotia, came away the aggregate winner, and Colin Clansey, Ontario, also seeing good success.

The Simon Fraser University Pipe Band was the only band to enter the Grade 1 mini-band event, but the other grades were actively contested.
