Babinski wins Sherriff Memorial
Hamilton, Ontario – November 18, 2006 – The eleventh annual George Sherriff Memorial Amateur Invitational Solo Piping Competition was won by Micah Babinski of Mercer Island, Washington. The overall standard of the competition was said to be very high.

Also competing but not in the prizes were Stuart Aumonier, Oakville, Ontario, and Nick van Ouwerkerk, Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
All events were judged by Chris Armstrong, John Cairns and Paula Glendinning.
The overall winner received a set of pipes donated by McCallum Bagpipes. Among other prizes, each competitor received a subscription to pipes|drums.
