Bevan tops at BC Pipers Annual Gathering

Vancouver – March 26, 2005 – Alan Bevan of Abbotsford, British Columbia, won all three professional solo-piping events at the Annual Gathering of the British Columbia Pipers Association out of a field of 13 other competitors. For his efforts Bevan received $800 to travel to compete at one of the major solo events in the United Kingdom.

Reid Maxwell won both professional solo side-drumming events in a field of three. The Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band won the Grade 2 band contest.

Angus MacColl, John Cairns and Barry Wilson were the guest judges, who also performed in recital on March 25.
