Blair Brown Captures Harrison Drumming
Hamilton, Ont. – March 15, 2003- Blair Brown of Shotts & Dykehead won the George Harrison Memorial Invitational Drumming Chmapionship with a performance that a fellow player said was “miles ahead of his competition.”
Originally from Milton, Ontario, Brown spent last year playing in Scotland with Jim Kilpatrick’s Shotts corps. He made the final cut of 12 drummers in his first time competing in the adult section of the World Solo Drumming Championship last October.

The contest was held in the Officers’ Mess at James Street Armouries.
Also competing but not in the prizes were Sandy MacKail, Andrew Lawson, Jeremy Keddy, Ian Madeiros, Jacquie Troy, and Thomas Foote.
