Bonar Wins BC Knock-out

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – March 10, 2001 –Andrew Bonar of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, was the winner of the annual British Columbia Pipers Association’s (BCPA) Professional Knock-Out final round held at the organization’s annual dinner, with more than 200 people attending. For his efforts, Bonar receives a trip to Ontario to compete in the contest of his choice.

Andre Tessier of Vancouver won the final round of the drumming section. Tessier receives a trip to Chicago to compete in the John Kirkwood Senior Memorial Drumming Competition.

Also in the final round of the piping event were Alan Bevan (who finished second), Jori Chisholm, and Colin Gemmell. Aaran Campbell and Kristen Coulson were finalists in the drumming.

Piping judges were Peter Aumonier, Jack Cairney, and Jack Lee. Drumming judges were John Fisher, Reid Maxwell, and Karen Perry.
