Fredericton on top at PEI

Summerside, Prince Edward Isalnd – June 25-26, 2005 – One of North America’s most scenic games, the Summerside Highland Gathering, was dominated by the Fredericton Society of Saint Andrew Pipe Band, wining both days of the first outdoor contest of 2005 for the Martimes. Temperatures hit 35 degrees.

In the solo contests, John McPhee won the professional piobaireachd, and the Amateur Piper of the Weekend prize went to Alex Gandy. Amateur Drummer of the Weekend was Ben Harrison.

The pipe band results were identical on both days of competition.
