Halifax 78th performs for more than 1000

Hopeful patrons had to be turned away at the door after the 78th Highlanders (Halifax) Pipe Band sold all 1000-plus tickets to its July 14 concert at the Millennium Centre at St. Francis Xavier University, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

The concert featured new material and included the band’s number-two medley. A revamped bass section was also a highlights, as were the band’s new McCallum chanters and uniforms.

The concert was part of a warm-up for the Antigonish Highland Games this weekend.
