Hayes overall winner at Ottawa Memorial

Ottawa – September 23, 2006 – Andrew Hayes was the aggregate winner in his home town at the invitational contest that pays tribute to his late father and Canadian emergency workers who died on the job. All proceeds from the event go to the Police Officers’ Memorial Fund.

For winning the MSR, Hayes was presented with the Pat Hayes Memorial Cross Medal by his mother and his sister, and received a standing ovation from the audience of about 100.

Also playing, but not in the prizes were James MacHattie and Lynda Mackay, and Andy Rogers and Lionel Tupman withdrew.

Bill Livingstone judged both events and Scott MacAulay was the emcee.
