House of Edgar-Shotts & Dykehead: 2005 World Pipe Band Champions
Glasgow – August 13, 2005 – House of Edgar-Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band of Scotland became the 2005 World Pipe Band Champions here today in good weather at a packed crowded Glasgow Green, electric with excitement.
The day started out wet, but gradually cleared and most bands competed in dry but overcast and cool conditions.

FMM won the MSR event, while SFU took the Medley.
In Grade 2, Drambuie-Kirkliston virtually locked a promotion to Grade 1 with its win, while Windsor Police had two firsts in piping, only to finish third.
