Jim Kilpatrick Breaks Own Record with Fourteenth World Solo Drumming Title

Bathgate, Scotland – October 25, 2003 – The World Solo Drumming Chmapionships were held at Bathgate Academy with a turnout of over fifty competitors in the adult catgory. Jim Kilpatrick, leading drummer of the House of Edgar-Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band, won for the fourteenth time in his career, thus breaking his own record.

5th Stephen Creighton, St. Laurence O’Toole
6th Barry Wilson, ScottishPower

Others who qualified for the final competition, after a being successful in two previous rounds, were Blair Brown, House of Edgar-Shotts & Dykehead; Arthur Cook, Lothian & Borders Police; Gordon Lee; Mick O’Neill; Brian Purvis, Chivas Regal; and Paul Turner, Dysart & Dundonald.
