Livingstone Wins Maxville Clasp

Maxville, Ontario – August 3, 2001 – Bill Livingstone of Whitby, Ontario, won the Clasp for former winners of the Piobaireachd Society (Canada) Gold Medal competition and finished second in the Former Winners March , Strathspey & Reel to take the overall prize here today.

There were three competitors in the Clasp event.

Michael Rogers of Maryland won the Piobaireachd Society (Canada) Gold Medal as well as the “Open” March, Strathspey & Reel.

Andrew Hayes of Ottawa won the Former Winners MSR and Rogers won the Open MSR.

Conditions were challenging, with temperatures rising to the mid-90s by mid-afternoon.
