MacCrimmon returns to win Silver Chanter

Dunvegan, Skye, Scotland – August 9, 2006 – Euan MacCrimmon of Inverness, Scotland, won the Silver Chanter at Dunvegan Castle playing “Lament for the Earl of Antrim.”

Other pipers vying for the award were Simon McKerrell, Edinburgh, Iain Speirs, Edinburgh, Niall Stewart, Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland, and Donald Macphee, Alexandria, Scotland.

MacCrimmon thus qualifies to compete at the Glenfiddich Solo Piping Championships at Blair Atholl, Scotland, in October.

The judge was Hugh MacCallum.
