MacQuarrie Wins Overall at Sherriff Memorial

Hamilton Ontario – November 17, 2001 – Hector MacQuarrie of Halifax, Nova Scotia, was the overall winner of the 6th annual George Sherriff Memorial Amateur Invitational Piping Competition held at McMaster University’s convocation hall.

The event featured 16 of North America’s most successful amateur competition pipers from the previous season, and was judged by Ian Duncan, Perth, Scotland; Peter Aumonier, Oakville, Ontario; and Bill Livingstone, Whitby, Ontario.
