Manchester united with Armit

Scott Armit, one of the most accomplished pipe band snare drummers in the United States, has returned to the Grade 2 Manchester Pipe Band of Connecticut as leading-drummer. He takes over from Dennis Burke, who led the band’s corps for a year.

According to Pipe-Major Brian Green, Burke remains with Manchester, and several new drummers are also coming in to the band.

“[We’re] excited about the return of Scott and the addition of several drummers from his previous corps,” Green says. “The band would like to thank Dennis for his contributions last season. Several new pipers have also joined the band since the end of the contest season, and we are looking forward to the upcoming competition season.”

Scott Armit departs the Grade 2 Tulach Ard Pipe Band of Massachusetts.
