Montreal Games Changes Venue

The Montreal Highland Games has announced that this year’s event will have a new venue, moving to Pierrefonds Sport Park in the city.

Recognized for many years as having perhaps the best location on the games circuit of the Pipers & Pipe Band Society of Ontario, the Montreal Games reportedly could not come to an agreement with the psychiatric hospital that took on the event.

“The extensive grounds of the Pierrefonds Sport Park provide an ideal site for this magnificent day’s festivities,” said games organizer Kirk Johnstone. “Beneficiaries of this year’s Games will be West Island Palliative Care residence.”
