Niall Mathieson in Form at Perth

Perth, Scotland – August 11, 2002 – Torrential rain kept many Scottish competitors away from the Perth Highland Games, but Niall Mathieson of Inverness had a very successful day. Only five played in the Open Piobaireachd and 28 in the B&C Grade CPA Piobaireachd. 33 pipers were thought to have played in the light music, but several apparently got fed up with the rain and went home.
