No Grade 1 bands at Gourock

Gourock, Scotland – May 7, 2006 – No Grade 1 bands competed at the first outdoor contest of the 2006 Scottish pipe band competition season at Gourock, even though the Scottish Pipe Band Championship is only two weeks away. Only five bands graded Grade 2 competed. Most grades saw several bands from the grade lower play up, several besting those graded higher.

1st Phoenix Honda-Glasgow Skye (Gr. 2)
2nd North Lanarkshire (Gr. 2)
3rd 52nd Lowland (Gr. 2)
