SFU comes on strong at Penticton

Penticton, British Columbia – July 3, 2004 – The Simon Fraser University Pipe Band put in two solid performances at the annual Penticton Highland Games in the British Columbia interior, besting the Alberta Caledonia Pipe Band in both the medley and MSR events.

In the solo piping, Andrew Bonar of Vancouver won both light music events against a field of about 11 other contestants. There were 134 competitors across all solo piping and drumming events, and a total of 11 bands competed in the various grades.
