Scottish players qualify for Lorient
Glasgow – February, 21, 2009 – Three pipers from Scotland qualified for the 2009 MacCrimmon Trophy at the Festival Interceltique in Lorient, Brittany, on August 2nd. Six entered despite good prize money.

Each competitor performed a five-to-six-minute medley of Scottish music. The qualifying pipers will compete in Scottish, Irish and Breton sections at the final.
Also playing but not in the prizes were Keith Bowes, John Mulhearn and Gareth Gardner. The MacCrimmon Trophy will take place on the 2nd of August in Lorient, Brittany.
