ScottishPower To Attend Loon Mountain

The ScottishPower Pipe Band of Glasgow, Scotland, has been confirmed to attend the New Hampshire Highland Games at Loon Mountain, New Hampshire, USA, September 14 to 16, 2001, as the event’s guest band.

The professional solo piping events will undoubtedly swell in numbers, with the likes of ScottishPower pipers Gordon Walker, Willie Morrison, Roddy MacLeod, and Donald MacPhee scheduled to make the trip.

“As well as performing guest band duties throughout the three days of the games, the band will perform at the Tartan Dinner on Friday night and in a full concert on Saturday evening in the concert tent at Loon,” said Donald Munro, Managing Director of the New Hampshire Highland Games. “This will certainly be an electrifying show not to be missed.”

The band will reportedly record the concert for a live CD to be released around the Christmas timeframe.
