Tupman Carries Nicol-Brown Event

Hartford, Connecticut – October 12, 2002 – The annual Nicol-Brown Amateur Invitational Piping Competition was held here today at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, with Jack Taylor of Aboyne, Scotland, judging 13 pipers invited from across North America.

Lionel Tupman of Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, was the overall winner, receiving airfare to compete at the Scottish Piping Society of London’s event in England in November.
