Western Australia Police Stage Alma Upset

Alma, Michigan – May 26-27, 2001 – The Western Australia Police Pipe Band pulled off an upset at the annual United States Pipe Band Championships at Alma, Michigan, by beating the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band on the second day of events.

The 78th Frasers won the first day’s medley event, and the Toronto Police Pipe Band finished third both days.
