World’s Grade 2 qualifying bands

Glasgow – August 14, 2004 – The 12 bands that qualify to go through to the final of the Grade 2 competition at the World Pipe Band Championships and their order of play in the final are:

1. Robert Malcolm Memorial (Canada)
2. Orin Mor (USA)
3. Drambuie-Kirkliston (Scotland)
4. 52nd Lowland Regiment (Scotland)
5. Cullybackey (Ulster) [drumming only]
6. Glengarry (Canada)
7. Bagad Cap Caval (France)
8. Niagara Regional Police (Canada)
9. Windsor Police (Canada)
10. Bagad Brieg (France)
11. Ballinderry Bridge (Ulster)
12. Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Scotland)
13. Torphichen & Bathgate (Scotland)

Cullybackey was allowed to compete for the drumming title in the final because the band finished first in drumming in their section, but failed to make the top six in it.
