Alberta season kicks off with Rocky Mountain win at Calgary

Calgary – May 5, 2018 – Alberta’s 2018 pipe band season kicked off this weekend with the annual “Ogden Indoor” competition attracting a small entry of bands and soloists from throughout the province. Rocky Mountain of Calgary won the Medley contest with four firsts. For the third straight year, in lieu of entry fees and admission, competitors and spectators were asked to bring donations for the local Veterans Food-bank. An estimated 175 lbs of food and more than $200 were donated.
