All-ensemble band judging at Kingston
Kingston, Ontario – May 23, 2009 – The unsanctioned Kingston Celtfest decided to take a different approach to its pipe band competition in its fifth year. Three judges in total each assessed competitors strictly from an ensemble perspective. The event, which continues to be more popular, moved to a new ground north of the city, and enjoyed a clear day, chilly in the morning but warm in the afternoon. Sixteen bands competed.
