Coquitlam, British Columbia – June 20, 2015 – Some 13 pipe bands and 113 soloists competed at the annual BC Highland Games, where Simon Fraser University won both Grade 1 events, Andrew Lee, Grant Maxwell and Terrance Cadiente took the aggregate prizes for Professional piping, snare drumming and tenor drumming, respectively, and Andrew Bonar was awarded a Life Membership to the British Columbia Pipers Association. Bonar has been battling cancer since he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor last fall. Weather was clear and warm, as the Pacific Northwest has been experiencing a lengthy drought.

Former SFU Pipe-Major Terry Lee, Andrew Bonar and BCPA President Rob MacNeill present Bonar with a Life Membership to the organization.
