Calum Watson, Angus MacPherson big winners at Edinburgh Mod

Edinburgh – April 22, 2012 – Calum Watson was the overall winner of the Under-18 solo piping, and Angus MacPherson took home the prestigious pipes|drums Magazine Cup for the best aggregate piper younger than 15 at the annual Edinburgh Local Mod competitions, an event that continues to grow. The Eagle Pipers’ Society donated a new trophy and Eagles Honourary President Euan Anderson presented the trophies.

Don’t be afraid to modify or undercut holes to improve chanter intonation. It may seem extreme, but there would scarcely be a Grade 1 band that hasn’t partaken in a spot of chanter renovation to beneficial effect.
