CRPB, RMPB split at Regina

Regina, Saskatchewan – May 17, 2009 – Day two of the Saskatchewan Highland Weekend took place in beautiful spring weather, with a warm, overcast morning for the solos and a sunny afternoon for band events. The City of Regina Pipe Band bounced back to win a Grade 2 event against the Calgary-based Rocky Mountain Pipe Band, which had won both events the previous day.

  1. Too bad Winnipeg St. Andrews PB did not make it to MJ/Regina this past weekend. It would have been a good grade 2 contest with three bands in the grade which has not happened in years at these games. They have looked for competition in the past prior to heading to Maxville but did not show up at this one?
