George Stewart wins Scottish Junior Championship

Carnousite, Scotland – September 20, 2008 – George Stewart of Perth, Scotland, was the overall winner of the solo piping events for players aged 13 to 16 at the annual comprehensive championship for young competitors, and was thus named 2008 Scottish Junior Solo Piping Championship. Stewart will be invited to compete at the 2008 George Sherriff Amateur Invitational Competition in November in Hamilton, Ontario. Emma Buchan of Falkirk, Scotland, won the Champion of Champions award for former Scottish Junior Champions.
