Inverness Day 2: Liddell wins Clasp, HP&J; Henderson double B-Grade wins

Inverness, Scotland – September 4, 2009 – Stuart Liddell of Inveraray, Scotland, won the Clasp at the Northern Meeting and then followed his piobaireachd success with a win of the Hornpipe & Jig. His ceol mor and ceol beag talent, combined with his leadership of the Inveraray & District Pipe Band most certainly secure his name as one of history’s greatest all-round competitive Highland pipers. It was Liddell’s second Clasp, after his 2007 win.
 
Alastair Henderson of Dunoon, Scotland, enjoyed rare double wins in both the March and Strathspey & Reel in the B-Grade light music.
