It’s a start: Ontario season gets going with Toronto Indoor

Toronto – March 31, 2018 – The first larger contest of the Ontario season was again the Toronto Indoor Games at Moss Park Armoury in the city’s downtown, which enjoyed the usual strong attendance. Bands competed in concert formation, with nicely set-up staging and risers for the audience. The event marked the Grade 2 debut of the Hamilton Police, which had its MSR tie with the Peel Regional Police broken by ensemble. It was also the first contest for the brand new Grade 5 band of the Peel Regional Police, which placed first. James MacHattie, who happened to be passing through Toronto with his family from Prince Edward Island, entered the Professional solo piping at the last minute, and walked away with a first and a second prize against a strong field.
