Scottish Champions 2016: Inveraray & District

Dumbarton, Scotland – July 30, 2016 – At Levengrove Park Inveraray & District were announced the winners of the 2016 Scottish Pipe Band Championship, the fourth of the five major contests on the RSPBA circuit, taking straight first from all four judges. Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia raced back up the prizes with a third, while European and UK Champions St. Laurence O’Toole and Field Marshal Montgomery finished second and fourth, respectively. Police Scotland Fife got into the prizes for the first time in 2016 with a sixth. Spirit of Scotland, which had made the top six in all three 2016 major championships ended up tenth.
