Speirs raises first Bratach Gorm
London – November 1, 2008 – Iain Speirs of Edinburgh won his first Bratach Gorm, the premier prize at the Scottish Pipers’ Society of London’s annual competitions, and becomes the second piper to secure an invitation to the 2009 Glenfiddich Championships, following Gordon Walker’s win at the event. Roddy MacLeod conclued a stellar 2008 competition year with a win in the London Medallion March, Strathspey & Reel.
