The World’s winning moment – FMM takes #12

It was at 8:35 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018, sunlight almost gone on a chilly Glasgow Green when Field Marshal Montgomery was announced World Pipe Band Champions for a twelfth time, extending Pipe-Major Richard Parkes’s achievement as the most championship-winning Grade 1 leader of all time.

FMM won both the Medley and MSR events, winning two in effect two major championship-quality competitions in one day to take the World’s, the first RSPBA championship it would win in all of 2018.
