You're invited! The Nicol-Brown competitors will be given the privilege of receiving instruction from Willie McCallum, one of the world's premier pipers and teachers. Amateur and Professional pipers at all levels are encouraged to observe the Master Class and benefit from hearing Willie's advice to each piper. Topics will include musical expression, technique, and improving performances toward the professional level.

An evening of piping by one of the world's premier pipers, Willie McCallum from Bearsden, Scotland. The recital will be a benefit for the Nicol-Brown Amateur Invitational Competition, and a welcoming reception for the competitors and judge. The competitors will be introduced and will receive their tune selections for the competition on Saturday.

The 10th Annual Balmoral Classic featuring the US Junior Solo Bagpiping and Drumming Championship will be held in Pittsburgh, PA on November 18 & 19, 2017. Pipe Up We’re Here Overture
The Paris Port Dover Pipe Band proudly present their “Pipe Up We’re Here Overture” in Waterford on August 20th. This will be a sneak preview of their major endeavour at the Sanderson Center in 2017.
August 20th will not be a routine show. It promises to be an upscale event complete with banquet dining and a carvery. We are taking special measures to offer a choice of hand selected meats and local vegetables for this event. Fresh breads from local bakeries will also be on the menu.
Tables are by reservation only. Individual tickets sell for $60.00, however, a limited number of full tables for eight can be reserved at a discount. When purchased as a block, that party will be able to stay together at a reserved table both indoors for the meal, and outdoors for the concert. Tickets are also being sold for the performance only at $25.00 with no guaranteed seating.
The doors will open at 6:00pm for a social hour with hors doeuvres’ and cash bar. Guests will be escorted to their seats for the meal at 7:00pm. The remaining ticket holders for the Performance only will arrive at 8:00pm at the Pavillion.
