On the road with Pipes & Sticks on Route 66: Day 5

The people restoring the theater have hung artwork back stage, and there was a framed picture of a set of drums with the following saying: “Where Words Fail, Music Speaks.” I couldn’t have said it better myself: it is music that has brought all of us together and forged some life-long friendships.

Back to the hotel to change, and some of us returned to The Depot District for further conversation, refreshments (food and otherwise), and our final look at the artistic town of Lubbock, Texas – a delightful end to a jam-packed day of fun and music on historic Route 66.
