FMM takes back All-Ireland
Lisburn, Northern Ireland – July 4, 2009 – Field Marshal Montgomery reclaimed the All-Ireland Pipe Band Championship after two years of wins by St. Laurence O’Toole. FMM took straight first placings in the Medley event and won the MSR on ensemble preference.
Grade 1
1st Field Marshal Montgomery (MSR 1,2,2,1, Medley 1,1,1,1)
2nd St. Laurence O’Toole (2,1,1,2 – 2,2,2,2)
3rd Cullybackey (3,3,3,4 – 4,3,4,3)
4th Ballycoan (4,4,4,3 – 3,4,3,4)
Grade 2:
1st Ravara
2nd Seven Towers
3rd Killeen
That would make 3 GR1 bands undefeated this year so far…FMM, 78th, and SFU……
Bagpipermann – The results of the CO. TYRONE CHAMPIONSHIP,DUNGANNON were as follows: Grade 1 1 – St.Laurence O Toole (2,2,1,1) 2 – Field Marshal Montgomery (1,1,2,2) 3 – Ballycoan (3,3,3,3) 4 – Cullybackey (4,4,4,4) Does the above result not count in your comments.
