Stamm makes it a Young Drummer double in Christchurch

Christchurch, New Zealand – June 8, 2019 – Monte Stamm of Beechwood, Australia, made it back-to-back titles by scoring victory at the second annual New Zealand Young Drummer of the Year solo snare competition only a few weeks after winning the Australian Young Drummer of the Year contest.

Stamm took home around NZ$4,000 in prizes, including a new Andante snare drum and a $1,500 voucher for air travel to Scotland to compete in the 2019 World Solo Drumming Championships in Glasgow.

The competition was held at St. Andrews College, and judged by Louis Norton, Robert Oliver and Steven Shedden.
