On the road with Pipe & Sticks on Route 66: Day 4

This ghost town was remarkable. It has an old jail, dating back to 1908, where they built the walls down several feet to stop the bad guys from digging their way to freedom. There were several photos of criminals taken after they were hanged. Amazing and spooky at the same time.  

When Willie entered the gated jail cell, I took full advantage, and locked the iron gates behind him. Strangely, nobody from the Pipes & Sticks gang came to his rescue!

We finished this part of Route 66 by taking lots of cool photos of the desolate buildings and the road itself.
