On the road with Pipe & Sticks on Route 66: Day 4

Next stop was the “Big Texan Motel” in Amarillo. We actually stayed in the motel, which was amazing to say the least. All the rooms were fitted out as theme rooms. The perfect end to the day was dinner in the famous Big Texan Restaurant, home of the famous 72-ounce steak where, if you eat it all within 60 minutes, you get it for free.

Four people took the challenge that, including two girls. They all failed. Needless to say we all ordered steaks and sampled the many different beers on the menu.
