#4. Aggy Glendinning fulfills his dream

The story of Alistair “Aggy” Glendinning realizing his dream of seeing his band win at the World Pipe Band Championship just days before he died of cancer touched the hearts of pipes|drums readers. Yes, there were other stories that impacted pipers and drummers in a more material way, but this wonderfully poignant piece reminded all of us that we should appreciate each and every time we step onto a competition park, into a band hall, or meet up with our friends who share our passionate hobby.

  1. Excellent summary. Ending with a reminder of the good byes we had to say to the great characters and friends we share the love of the music with, puts it all in perspective. How lucky we are to love the pipes and share the music and our lives with such wonderful folk!
