Capers at the World’s, your trews colours, and questions of every stripe

Dear Style Guy, Sir:

No, no, no! I am an iron lady on that. To wear rosettes should be announcing that you’ve been awarded something and that you are proud to wear it. Any other reason seems ridiculous to me.

Because, to wear rosettes or ribbons for a man looks [effeminate], and forgive me that, yes, I am against ostentation of an already overloaded paradigm of contemporary life. I think adding ribbons to a kilt is an overdose anyway.

I would leave the ribbons to the ladies, and I would agree on that, that it is okay to sustain Pakistani labourers on special occasions, when you are a speaker at a ceremony or so. Sorry for being nosy.

Cheers,

Rosalie

Apologies accepted, Rosie. Unless Queen Victoria is a poltergeist in your castle, and the only way to get her to bugger off is to follow her command and wear them, kilt rosettes are only good for agricultural shows.

  2. You’re both right (and wrong), we wear the Ancient Hunting Fraser. Now, I’d better go check drone cord lengths, tie knot styles, length of flashes……. Ross W
