pipes|drums’ 2018 Guide to Grade 1 Bands’ World’s Week Practices & Appearances

Inveraray & District (Scotland)

  • Practices: & Thur, Aug. 15 & 16, 2-5 pm at Victoria Park, weather permitting.
  • Other appearances: Competing in the International Quartet Competition, Tue., Aug. 14.

 

 Johnstone (Scotland)

  • Practices:, Aug. 13, 7:30-9:30pm, Johnstone Pipe Band Hall, McLaurin Cres., Johnstone, (five minutes from Glasgow Airport); Wed., Aug 15, 11am-1pm, Johnstone Pipe Band Hall McLaurin Crescent, Johnstone; Thur., Aug. 16, 11am-2pm (approx.), Glasgow Green (weather permitting), Johnstone Pipe Band Hall if weather is poor.
  • Other appearances:, Aug 16, International Piping Quartets Piping Live! Royal Concert Hall Wed., Aug. 15: 2-3pm (approx.) Piping Live! McCallum Bagpipes roadshow, National Piping Centre.
  • Note: All guests to our band hall are extremely welcome.

 

 Lomond & Clyde (Scotland)

  • Practices: Mon., Aug. 13, Tue., Aug. 14, both 7:30-9:30 pm, at Knightswood Royal British Legion, 17 Cairntoul Drive, Glasgow G14 0XT (two-minute walk from Garscadden train station, which you can get to from Glasgow Central Station). Thur., Aug. 16, 7:30-9:30 pm,Yoker community Campus, 10 Kelso Place, Glasgow G14 0LL – practice will be streamed on Facebook Live.
  • Note: Note: Guests should bring £1 as an entry to the club as it is a members only. Fully licensed bar on premises.
  • Other appearances: No confirmed performances, but the band will be playing at the Park Bar on Thur., Aug., 16, for 20 minutes at 6:45 pm.
